WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is an energy healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”.
In all things living runs 'Ki', (energy). We all want to have vitality and free flowing Ki or energy and we are at our most vital state when our Ki is strong. Sometimes in life we experience things that can bog us down. It can be multiple factors: career, love, money, family, emotions, physical injury, trauma, etc. Whatever it is, the energy becomes blocked and fragile. Reiki sessions can work with bringing balance back and releasing tension and stress which supports the body in providing a more optimal environment for relaxation, healing and well-being.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive wellness modality. We will begin by sitting together, gathering some information. From there you will lay comfortably, fully clothed on the massage table and we will then take a couple minutes and then begin. We will be working using hands on or just above the body line. Sessions generally run between 30-90min. Once, we have reached the end of the session, I can answer any questions you may have.

Reiki is amazing! I had been dealing with a lot of family stress and caring for a terminally ill mother. I was completely and totally stressed out. My friend recommended seeing Sheila. To be honest I was more than a bit skeptical, but literally minutes into our session I was feeling an easy relaxation and warmth I hadn't experienced before. Total relaxation. I released some emotion and some giant tears laying there on the table. Normally that would bother me and I would have felt so self-conscious, but I wasn't. I felt cared for and safe to just let it all out. Sheila is very authentic in her work and you can feel it. Taking my Level 1 Reiki with Sheila was amazing; the attunement was so powerful and learning about the history of Reiki was very interesting.
